Vacation in Rovinj

Rovinj - one of the most picturesque and most beautiful small towns of the Croatian coast. The town has approximately 14,000 inhabitants. On the steep peninsula that used to be a small island there is a mosaic of old stone houses, palaces, winding narrow streets and the town's "crown" is the magnificent church of St. Euphemia with one of the tallest bell towers in Istria offering the breathtaking view of the picturesque small port, some of 22 islets of the Rovinj archipelago and the surrounding abundant vegetation.

Beaches: in most cases rocky, man made or pebbled, a lot of them under pine trees providing a pleasant shade during the hottest days. Special attention is given to the environmental protection resulting in many tourist awards as well as Blue Flags for beaches.

Climate: mild Mediterranean. Springs are abundant and green, summers are dry and warm, falls pleasant and winters mild with the cold northeast wind - bora- sometimes blowing. Daily summer temperatures may reach 30 C? and nights are pleasantly fresher. Summer sea temperatures reach 25 C?, while the bathing season starts in May.
